MATTHEW AND LEAH – STRETTON MANOR BARN
THE WEDDING DAY – AUGUST 19TH 2021
I’ve known Matt for quite a few years now, so when he asked me if I could capture his wedding day with Leah, I jumped at the chance.
I met up with them for a pre-wedding shoot at their venue Stretton Manor Barn, which was super exciting for me as it’s a venue I’ve not shot at before. It’s new and fresh with open brickwork and amazing views – my kind of venue.
I started the day by meeting up with Leah and her bridal party who were getting ready just down the road from the venue at the lovely Santos Farm. Make-up and hair was well under way when I arrived and it was time for them to crack open the Prosecco to ease those pre wedding nerves.
My second photographer, Tom, made his way over to the venue to meet up with Matt and his groomsmen whilst I stayed at Santos to capture some great moments as they unfolded with the awesome little bridal party.
Leah was then helped into her dress by one of her bridesmaids, Claire, and everyone was smiling ear to ear. Leah looked stunning and her dress was incredible with just the right amount of sparkle. The bridesmaids looked beautiful too and not to mention the adorable little flower girl, Layla.
After a ‘first look’ with dad, Eric, I then headed off to the venue, where I saw Matt and quite a few familiar faces.
I think the nerves had crept up on Matt now so a few quick shots were needed before he and best man, Richard, headed to the front of the aisle to await the arrival of Leah.
The venue looked great and the ceremony was being held outside on the warm summers afternoon.
As the music started, the girls walked down the aisle followed by Leah who was walked down by her very proud father.
The ceremony was lovely and then followed by some confetti throwing. It was time for a bouquet toss which is something that doesn’t happen that much these days – I don’t know why though as it’s such a brilliant moment and makes for ace photos!
After the scrum from the bouquet catching, a nice relaxed afternoon followed along with some very funky saxaphone playing by Paul Martyn. It was then time for round the afternoon off with some emotional speeches.
As the evening guests started to arrive, it was time for more drinks and celebrating before things kicked off with a lightsaber battle between Matt and Leah which led into a night do full of awesome dancing and amazing times with family and friends.
It was a perfect day and I am so pleased I was able to be part of it. Thank you and I wish you both all the best….
