JAKE AND LYDIA – SWANCAR FARM COUNTRY HOUSE
THE WEDDING DAY – JULY 15th 2021
I first met Jake and Lydia at a wedding in 2019 and I must have made a good impression as I was later asked to capture their big day at Swancar Farm. One of the main things I remembered from the wedding where we met, was just how much of a party vibe it was so I knew that if that was anything to go by, then I was in for a great day….and I wasn’t wrong!
Now Swancar Farm has pretty much everything you could wish for in a wedding venue. Not only is it an exclusive use venue, but the setting is truely breathtaking and the interior is perfectly on-point. Open brickwork, exposed beams and incredible views out of the floor to ceiling windows.
The venue had been decorated and taken to another level by The Greenery – the flower displays were stunning.
I met up with Lydia and her girls as they got ready with the talented Katie from House of Beauty and they then headed over to the bridal suite to finish up and Lydia was helped into her beautiful dress from Mimi Toko – she looked breathtaking!
It was then time to head down to the magnificent Glass Barn where I met up with Jake and the boys.
The groomsmen all looked very dapper in their matching suits and Jake was one of the least fazed grooms I have ever photographed, I genuinely think I felt more nervous than he did! Though I knew Jake would be blown away when Lydia walked down the aisle.
The ceremony was beautiful and there were lots of emotions and smiles all around the room. Jake led Lydia back down the aisle as the new Mr and Mrs Barber.
It was then time for the reception and I wasnt wrong when I said the group knew how to party – I was treated to break dancing, lots of drinking and a whole load of banter!
Jake and Lydia’s day was rounded off with smoke bombs, sparklers and more dancing – what a perfect day!
I wish you both all the best
