Bride and Groom in Derbyshire Garden

I first met up with Jesse and Amy to discuss their upcoming wedding day in Bakewell. They told me about their plans of a church wedding then onto a village hall with old landrovers and clay pigeon shooting – now this sounded proper Derbyshire and proper awesome!

I arrived at Amy’s mum and dads house in Bakewell where she was getting ready with her bridal party. As their hair and makeup was being finished off and they were enjoying a few glasses of bubbly, I grabbed the camera and captured the start of an amazing day.

Amys wedding dress by Stella York looked incredible as it was hung in the main window of the house. The details were perfect and it was a lovely moment as Amy was helped into her dress by her mum.

The bridal party and Amy’s dad, Mike, all headed into the garden to wait for their first glimpse of the bride all ready for the big day. Amy was looking absolutely beautiful and the look of absolute pride on Mikes face would say that he thought so too.

I then quickly headed up to All Saints Church in Bakewell where I met up with Jesse and his groomsmen. Jesse was as cool as ever and looked very dapper as he awaited the arrival of his wife to be.

It was a perfect ceremony in the presence of their family and friends, and I especially loved the part where Jesse’s dad fist pumped the air as Jesse said his vows!

After the nuptials were finished, we headed outside for some shots around the grounds¬† followed by the throwing of confetti. I couldn’t help but laugh when Jesse’s sister threw the entire box over him, there’ll be a photo of that for you guys to enjoy at a later date!

We left the church and had a quick detour to Jesses parents house for some pictures in their lovely garden and took the oppertunity to get some great shots of the vintage Landrover wedding car.

We then made our way over to Ashover Village Hall for them to commence the reception with all their wedding party. Lots of hugging, happiness and laughter filled the afternoon as the happy couple celebrated.

The evening consisted of laser clay pigeon shooting, lots of drinking, dancing and a suprise firework display to round the day off for the happy couple.

A truly brilliant wedding and I loved being part of it. Thank you guys and I wish you both all the best!!
