JAMES AND MOLLIE – HAZEL GAP BARN
THE WEDDING DAY – SEPTEMBER 5TH 2021
I first met up with James and Mollie in summer and they told me of their wedding plans – I knew straight away it was going to be a great wedding to photograph.
Their venue was Hazel Gap Barn and it is one of my favourites venues with open brickwork, floor to ceiling windows and amazing rustic wooden beams.
I started the day by meeting up with Mollie and her bridal party who were at her parents house getting ready. Makeup and hair was well under way when I arrived and it was time for them to crack open the prosecco and take the edge off those pre-wedding nerves.
Mollie was then helped into her incredible Maggie Sottero dress before heading down to the orangery where she had her big reveal to her dad and bridesmaids. She looked absolutely stunning. There were lots of smiles and a few happy tears before the excitement took over and it was time to head to the venue.
Hazel Gap Barn had been dressed beautifully and I walked in to find James stood with his best man at the front of the room nervously awaiting the big arrival of Mollie.
James and his crew looked great and after a few shots and a little banter, I got ready to capture his first peek of his soon to be wife.
The saxophonist started playing and the girls (and Richard) walked down the aisle followed by Mollie who was arm in arm with her very proud father.
The ceremony was perfect and there were more tears and even more smiles as the happy couple said their ‘I Do’s”.
The newlyweds then headed outside into the courtyard for some confetti and photographs with their family and friends – and not to forget the surprise visit from their dogs!
They rounded the afternoon off cracking food followed by some some emotional speeches, plenty of prosecco and a room full of love and laughter.
A short time later, the evening guests started to arrive and were greeted by more awesome tunes from the saxophonist. It was time for more drinks, celebrating and dancing well into the night.
It was an amazing day from start to finish and I am so pleased I was able to be part of it. Thank you and I wish you both all the best….
