DAN AND HANNAH –SUMMERTIME WEDDING AT STRETTON MANOR BARN
THE WEDDING DAY – SEPTEMBER 3RD 2021
I’d been looking forward to capturing Dan and Hannahs wedding after they were the big winners from a competition I ran last year. I wanted to say thank you to our amazing NHS workers during the pandemic by offering a free wedding to one lucky couple who had worked throughout the lockdown period.
I met up with the pair for a pre-wedding shoot at their venue Stretton Manor Barn – a new and beautiful, rustic venue with the added bonus that it’s on my doorstep! Hannah and Dan were a genuinely lovely couple and I knew it would be an amazing day.
I started the day by meeting up with Hannah and her bridal party at Casa Hotel in Chesterfield. Lots of prosecco and laughter filled the room as the girls had their hair and makeup done. They were an awesome little group of family and friends and there were some interesting conversations going on that’s for sure, cheese and jacuzzis? I’ll say no more.
Hannah decided to have the bridesmaids and her dad wait so she could do a reveal of her final look to them. As they saw her in her beautiful dress, the room filled with happy tears and it was such an emotional moment.
I then made my way up to the venue to find Dan with his groomsmen and the guests who were starting to arrive. Bruno the dog was looking real dapper in his bow tie – I think he may have been the most handsome member of the groomsmen party – no offence Dan.
The venue looked great and the ceremony was being held inside which was decked out with twinkly fairy lights and candles and it was full of smiling faces – my kind of wedding!
As the music started, the girls walked down the aisle and they were followed by Hannah who looked absolutely stunning – she was arm in arm with her very proud dad.
The ceremony was lovely and as the “I do’s” were completed, we then headed outside for some confetti throwing – I think Bruno ate more than his fair share but it made for some cracking photos!
To round the afternoon off, there were some emotional speeches and brilliant toasts before the evening guests started to arrive and the party truly began. I can safely say, I’ve not seen so much dancing with ties around heads for a long time – awesome!!
It was the perfect day and I am so pleased I was able to be part of it. Thank you guys so much and I wish you both all the best….
